Web front-end Learning notes

Realizing that I’m too weak in the front-end and lack practice. I’m determined to start to write a SPA this winter holiday. This post is intended to note down some discoveries during development.

Meta tags

1.attribute http-equiv and content.

These two tags works exactly as HTTP headers, when the http-equiv means the header name and content means the value.

Ex.

1
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EDGE" />

  1. attribute charset.

This tag specifies the charset of the content. Only available in HTML5.

Ex.

1
<meta charset="utf-8" />

  1. attribute viewport.

This tag specifies the size and scale of the webpage(i.e. controls how user can zoom in and out, especially on mobile devices, the web page).

CSS

  1. attribute selectors

Square brackets work as attribute selectors.

Ex.

1
2
3
[ng-cloak] {
display: none;
}
